Isothiocyanate Morpholino Monomers
Self-penetrating PMOs incorporate guanidinium groups directly into the morpholino backbone, leading to the synthesis of guanidinium-linked morpholino oligonucleotide chimeras (GMO-PMOs). This design eliminates the need for external conjugation with cellular transporters, as the guanidinium groups enhance cellular uptake independently. This self-penetrating feature significantly improves the feasibility of PMOs for therapeutic applications, making them more effective for targeting specific RNA sequences within a cellular context. The following building blocks (Isothiocyanate Morpholino Monomers and Fmoc-NCS Morpholino Monomers) are available for synthesizing guanidinium-linked morpholino oligos.
